Warehouse Slotting
Warehouses and distribution centers undergo constant change. Changes in inventory levels, SKU counts, velocities, customer volumes, and new industry trends can have a significant impact on productivity and operational expense. Proper slotting of facilities is a perpetual exercise, and is needed, in order to maintain optimized and efficient warehouse layouts. Properly slotted facilities assist in increasing selector performance, reducing replenishment requirements, maximizing cubic space, improving safety results, increasing order accuracy, and improving stackability and stability of customer orders.
At Envizion, warehousing slotting is in our wheelhouse of expertise. We have a number of different state-of-the-art tools at our disposal, in order to optimize the slotting of your operations, and provide real expense savings to your bottom line performance. Our capabilities allow us to:

Capacity Analysis & "What if" Models
At Envizion, we can evaluate your current operational layout and design warehouse layouts that meet all your requirements, and produce optimal quantities of proper rack types, and pick path layouts, based on things such as required days of supply, weight constraints, family groupings, and special handling. We then have the ability to compare models to current operational baselines, or to other models, in order to provide the best possible scenarios for our clients. With our programs and expertise, clients will be able to visualize and simulate digital layouts before making costly physical changes to their warehouse operations. We can perform this functionality a few different ways:
· We have the ability to use existing AutoCAD drawings to develop a graphical representation of current operations, and analyze vs. various changes in layout and slotting.
· We can “draw” your current operation, or design a “what if” operation and calculate storage capacity and space utilization through a special design engine.
